Last night I had a dream that there was a woman living in an exotic place. She felt a deep fascination to find seeds and plant native plants and then witness all of the other insects and animals that would return now that the plants were there—creating a thriving ecosystem. In the dream, she was mocked by her lover along with others as she did so.
Then we opened a door, and a wise voice was heard saying, “Play: this whole world is a stage for us to enact our deep sense of wonder.”
The next scene was the woman feeling a sort of permission from herself to follow her longing, and with this her partner also began feeling a strong sense of support for her work.
In the dream, I said to myself, this is what I’m going to write about tomorrow.
And here we are, tomorrow. The New Moon is activating Uranus, a planet that offers lightning inspiration. Some of these inspirations take a deep hold on us and we must play them out.
Currently my husband is out with our daughter harvesting nuts and fruits to begin cultivating the seeds. He had a dream the other night that Pecans were everywhere, and the very next morning while he was investigating our Chestnut Trees he began seeing Pecans on the ground, he looks up and realizes that we have two enormous Pecan trees growing right next to us all of these years! He has been blessed in other ways too. One blessing has been receiving Paw Paws when they are mostly fruitless this year from a late freeze in our area.
He’s been fantasizing about a perennial nursery and this is filling his heart and mind as strongly as those years when there are an abundance of nuts/fruits falling, known as a Mast year. This indeed must be a mast year to plant this incredible dream. His wonder about gathering, learning, and growing these trees and shrubs is all-consuming!
It is an incredible dream to think about the future of this land feeding the children of so many species and perhaps even our own great grandchildren!
There is a Jungian quote: “The greatest burden a child must bear is the unlived life of its parents.” For example, if my husband Phil did not take action on this wondrous dream that has grabbed ahold of him, then our great grandchildren would have no fruit and have to plant them once they listened to the unlived dream calling out to them.
Lately, I’ve been wondering about where my wonder has gone. I’ve found myself feeling only excited about watching Aurora’s wonder throughout the day. And noticed that I’ve come to a moment in her development when it is time to begin receiving new dreams to live out. She was my glorious mast year almost three years ago when she was seeded, and now I find myself gathering my resources back together, getting ready for the coming seeds that may be falling.
As I sat with my bees they continued to shed some light on these inner urges I’ve been feeling.
Message from the Bees
“Don’t steal the wonder from a child. Connect with yours and allow it to come forward. Many humans have been trained out of following their own capacity for wonder, but yet, it still exists within you as a buried seed ready to grow. Cultivate your wonder through play as the children do. This is how you build confidence to further express your capabilities. As your soul seeks wonder, that which captivates you also seeks you to carry it into the world. You are a star seed put here in order to help orchestrate the magical symphony of the Universe. Will you play your part?
I ask,
We know our part through wonder. How do we distinguish wonder from a lesser desire?
“A desire falls flat, empty.
A wonder carries you forward.
You’ll know the difference when you feel it.”
It’s a special time of year for the seeds to fall, to nurture the dreams that we will tend throughout the winter months. At this time it feels urgent for us all to open ourselves to play out those seeds of wonder, so we may synchronize in harmony.
As the wonder surrounds us like seeds falling on the Earth, what will you be planting?
With love,
Sacha Louise and The Bees
